1) How much does it cost to lease artworks?
As a guide, the annual leasing payment is based on 20% of the current market value of the painting (excluding GST). Clients can expect to pay lower rates for longer leasing periods and vice-versa.
2) Is it necessary to make an appointment to view works?
No. If you are unable to meet with us in person we can assist you via email. We can send digital photos of a wide range of paintings available for lease. To make the selection process more accurate you may want to provide us with digital photographs of your space and where possible, measurements, colour swatches, company branding/ image and any other relevant material.
We will then recommend works tailored to your requirements, and for major projects, visit your premises to advise and consult with clients in-house.
3) How long is the lease period?
Leasing terms are extremely flexible and paintings can be leased for as little as one day up to 2 years*. We find this best caters for our various clients ranging from Stylists for magazine shoots, Interior Designers for hotels, office spaces and private homes (to name just a few!!) to Art Consultants for major public companies.
*under the initial contract, this can be extended even further under a new contract
4) Can I purchase the artwork I have leased?
Yes, this is what sets us apart from most other leasing companies.
We give our clients the opportunity to purchase the artwork at the end of the leasing period. The price of the painting is based on the market value at the start of the period less the leasing payment made.
In addition to this we offer our clients a 10% commission of sale should a third party wish to purchase the artwork. When such a scenario eventuates we provide our client with an appropriate replacement painting of exact value for the remainder of the leasing period at no cost.
5) Are we liable for any damage?
Under the lease contract terms, the client is responsible for the protection of all artworks throughout the term of the lease. |
