Step 1: Selection of Artwork
Determine areas in your office or home where you would like to place artwork. View the virtual gallery section of this presentation to determine which piece/ pieces of artwork you think may suit these areas (keep in mind these are just a small sample of paintings we are able to offer). You may just like the style of a certain painting or like the painting but need a different size or even want to see more examples….this is not a problem.
Call or Email us (details on the Contact page) to set up an initial consultation.
If necessary we are able to assist you via email. Please provide us with digital photographs of your space and measurements where possible. To make the selection process as smooth and accurate as possible clients may provide floor plans, colour swatches, company branding/ image and any other relevant material.
We will recommend works tailored to your specifications, and for major projects, visit your premises to advise and consult with clients in-house.
Step 2: Rental Agreement
As soon as the artwork has been decided upon, a Rental Agreement outlining client responsibilities, remuneration for sold artworks, the lease period and painting specifications is then drawn up and sent to the client for confirmation and signature.
Step 3: Payment
Clients are invoiced for the full period of the Agreement up front. As a guide, the annual leasing payment is based on 20% of the current market value of the painting (excluding GST). Leasing periods are flexible and clients can expect to pay lower rates for longer leasing periods and vice-versa. Payment is required before artworks can be delivered.
Step 4: Delivery & Installation
All artwork is mounted ready for installation. This is a reasonably straight forward process; however delivery and installation can be arranged using art specialists who will invoice the client directly.
Clients are responsible for all costs associated with transport and installation.
Step 5: Sale of the artwork
Throughout the year it may happen that a third party views the displayed artwork and wishes to purchase. If such a scenario eventuates it is the clients’ responsibility to contact the Seelander agent and inform them of the possible sale. From this point the Seelander agent will facilitate the sale and will (within 14 days) present the client with a 10% commission (based on the current market value of the painting) payment. We will then provide the client with an appropriate replacement painting of exact value for the remainder of the leasing period at no cost to the client.
Step 6: Expiry of Agreement
At the end of the leasing period the client has the right to renew the current rental agreement (the lease payment will be based on current market value of artwork). Alternatively the client has the option to purchase the artwork with the price being based on the market value specified at the beginning of the lease period less any leasing payment made. |
